Addressing the leaders of various religious groups, he said, "Reading newspapers and listening to people's concerns have raised many questions in my mind. To seek answers, I decided to meet with you. When I returned to the country on August 8, following the fall of the previous government, I made an appeal to everyone. I said we are a family. We may have different opinions, religions, and traditions, but we are all members of one family. I emphasized this point."

"Despite our differences, we are not enemies of one another. We are Bangladeshis, united in one spirit. After I took my oath, I heard about atrocities against minorities. This deeply saddened me. I visited the Dhakeshwari Temple and reiterated that we are one family. They expressed their demands, which were straightforward: equal rights for everyone. This is a constitutional right, and it is the state's responsibility to ensure it."

The Chief Advisor further added, "I heard about more attacks on minorities, so I met with everyone again. Then came Durga Puja. I told everyone this was an opportunity, a celebration, and a matter of joy. We had to ensure that there would be no attacks on the Hindu community. Everyone agreed. I was pleased. Except for an incident at Tantibazar, there were no other issues. I was delighted that the entire period turned into a national celebration."

Dr. Yunus’s speech highlighted the significance of unity, mutual respect, and the state's role in ensuring equal rights and safety for all communities in Bangladesh.
